As skies clear this evening lows will fall into the low to mid 50s Monday morning, so you might need the sweater or light jacket out the door to start the work week.

With an area of low pressure spinning near Memphis we could have some wrap around high clouds Monday afternoon holding temperatures a couple degrees cooler in the mid 70s.

Tuesday the low should begin to lift to the northeast allowing for more sunshine warming highs into the upper 70s.

Wednesday temperatures could push 80 under mostly sunny skies as we get a little extra compression heating out ahead of our next front.

Early Thursday morning a weak cool front will swing through Acadiana producing a few light showers to start the day.

Clouds could linger through the day on Thursday and with a northerly flow behind the front highs will fall back into the mid 70s.

Friday afternoon another weak cool front will slide down into Louisiana creating a few more stray showers but the forecast should be fine for festival in the evening.

Looking ahead to next weekend Mother Nature must be a music fan as we finally get a dry weekend and the weather should be just about perfect for Festival International with a mix of sun and clouds each day and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.

Moving into the following week rain chances return as we could have a couple stray showers Monday afternoon before rain chances increase to 30-40% Tuesday and Wednesday as a Gulf coast low moves up east Texas and into Acadiana.
