Tools for Schools is at Ross Elementary today.
Jim Olivier’s Family of Companies is partnering with KATC for another year of Tools for Schools and this time we’re at Ross Elementary here in Crowley to bring Dana Sturgis’s second grade some Chromebooks.
“We’re going to use them to take AR tests to help us meet our goal," says second-grader Jamarion Batiste.
“We have to take two AR tests and make two AR points to meet our goal to go to the AR party and get certificates," added second-grader Jada Young.
Sturgis asked for Chromebooks for test-taking.
“What we have is two Chromebooks and we use them for the internet purpose of taking AR test. It gives them confidence to set a goal and meet it and realize that they have the ability to do the things that they would like to do in life and it starts now with small things like meeting an AR goal or an attendance goal," she says.
