The Diocese of Lake Charles has released their list of credibly accused clergy.

The list consists of clergy credibly accused in the diocese since its establishment in 1980.

Bishop Glen John Provost says that allegations received by the Diocese of Lake Charles prior to 1980 were referred to the Diocese of Lafayette which oversaw the five civil parishes before that time.

Six names on their list have connections to Acadiana. Mark Broussard, Gerard Smit, Charles Soileau, Valerie Pullman, Richard Chachere and Austin Park.

Two of those names, Soileau and Chachere, were not previously known to KATC Investigates and are now added to its list of credibly accused priests.
