This week, students are getting a hands on experience with robotics.
Summer Robotics, a camp hosted by Lafayette Parents for Education, is teaching children how to build robots and code them.
The program is happening from July 22 through July 26 at the W.D. Smith career Center in Lafayette.
"The whole robotics concept that we tie in too to get students involved in STEM whether they are going to go into engineering or whether they are simply going to just go out after high school and get a job working out in the industry we offer them some skills here," said Philip Ryland who teaches the program.
