Franklin Police have arrested a New Iberia man in connection with the Sunday drive-by shooting that left a toddler wounded.
Shacoby Johnson, 29, was booked with three counts attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, disturbing the peace, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a gun-free zone and aggravated criminal damage to porperty.
Franklin Police sayhe was arrested early Monday with the help of the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office. He's being held in lieu of $355,000 bond.
Meanwhile, police say the toddler is in stable condition after being wounded in the shooting.
Franklin Police Chief Cedric Handy says the shooting happened on O'Neal Chube Street. The child was airlifted to a hospital, he said.
