ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. — A New Iberia woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 96 in St. Martin Parish Wednesday morning.
Kongkham Phommachanh, 61, of New Iberia was traveling west on Highway 96 near Highway 345 when, for reasons still under investigation, her vehicle ran off the road during a curve and overturned.
Phommachanh sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
