UPDATE:
Opelousas police say a juvenile is facing charges after firing multiple shots into the air on Berdie Street.
Investigators determined the shots were not aimed at anyone. No one was hurt, and police confirmed there was no victim involved.
The juvenile has been charged with illegal discharge of a firearm. Police said additional charges could be filed as the investigation continues.

The Opelousas Police Department is investigating a reported shooting on Berdie Street.
Officers responded to the scene after receiving a call, but police said no victim has been identified and no suspects are in custody at this time.
