LAFAYETTE (KATC) – In the bottom of the ninth, freshman Colton Frank delivered the biggest hit of his career, a solo home run that lifted Louisiana past Tulane 7-6.

The Cajuns used a three-spot in the fourth inning, powered by Todd Lott single, to take a 4-0 lead. But in the fifth Louisiana quickly found itself behind. Grant Matthews hit a 3-run home run in a six-run inning for Tulane who took the 6-4 lead.

Hayden Cantrelle scored three times in the game, including in the sixth on an error. Nathan Camp would later tie the game in the seventh on a single, before Franks’ game-winner in the ninth.

Cantrelle extended his hit-streak to 14 games.

Michael Leaumont earned the win, his first of the year.
