Louisiana’s road contest at in-state rival McNeese, scheduled for Dec. 18, has been added to the Cox Sports Television lineup in an announcement on Monday by the Southland Conference.

The game, which is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. tipoff, will be the first televised game at the Cowboys’ new on-campus Health and Human Performance Education Complex. Louisiana leads the all-time series against its I-10 rival, 58-35, and has won the last three meetings in the series, including an 89-78 victory in last year’s meeting in Lafayette.

Cox Sports Television will broadcast the matchup to its regional audience. ESPN+ is set to simulcast to the rest of the country. Streaming coverage will be subject to blackout in Cox’s territory.

Louisiana (3-3) closes out a six-game roadtrip on Wednesday at 7 p.m., when it travels to New Orleans to battle former Sun Belt Conference rival UNO at Lakefront Arena.

The game against McNeese is part of the “Louisiana Passport,” which will recognize Ragin’ Cajuns fans who attend all eight of Louisiana’s scheduled games against in-state opponents during the 2018-19 season.

Passports will be distributed for Cajuns fans traveling on Wednesday to the UNO game. Each game, fans will get their passport stamped at a location to be determined. In-state games for the Ragin’ Cajuns include home games against Southern (Dec. 1), Loyola (Dec. 5), Louisiana Tech (Dec. 15) and ULM (Feb. 16), with additional road games slated against Southeastern Louisiana (Dec. 29) and ULM (Jan. 19).

At Louisiana’s game against ULM at the Cajundome on Feb. 16, those who have a completed passport with eight stamps will be recognized on the court at some point during the game.
