The Sun Belt named Andre Nunez the conference’s player of the week. Nunez tossed five touchdowns on 19 of 25 passing in Saturday’s 66-38 win over New Mexico State. The five touchdowns tied a school record set by Jake Delhomme.
Nunez threw for 315 yards as the Cajuns tallied a program record 759 yards. It was Nunez’s first 300-yard passing game of his career.

Louisiana ran for 365 yards in the game, the second-straight week the team has eclipsed the 300-yard mark. The team now ranks 14th in college football averaging just shy of 250-yards-per-game.
