That’s going to cost you, Michael Thomas.
According to The Advocate, the Saints receiver was fined $30,000 for pulling out a flip phone hidden in a goal post after scoring a 72-yard touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams last week at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The Saints ended up beating the Rams 45-35, which marked the Rams’ first loss of the season.
It is believed Thomas performed the stunt, paying tribute to former Saints player Joe Horn, who pulled out a flip phone after scoring in a 2003 game against the New York Giants.
Thomas kept mum about how he got the phone in the goal post, the media outlet reports.
