New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson has tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to The Advocate, Benson, who is 73, is under daily medical care and is doing well. That information coming from Saints senior vice president of communications Greg Bensel in a text message to the Times Picayune and Advocate.
Benson tested positive for COVID-19 within the last couple of weeks, Bensel said.
It is not known at this time what Benson's symptoms are, but she has not been hospitalized since her diagnosis and has been participating in the daily NFL and NBA executive calls, Bensel said.
