Teurlings 3, Cabrini 1 – Division II Championship
KENNER – Teurlings Catholic won it’s sixth-straight championship Saturday, beating Cabrini in four sets.

Leading the way for Teurlings was Jolie and Cicily Hidalgo with 15 and 11 kills each. The sisters remarked on how emotional it was to end their high school careers together. The two embraced after the final point, falling to the ground.

Teurlings graduates seven seniors, including setter Ariana Hebert, coach Terry and Meredith Hebert’s oldest daughter. Terry was emotional when talking about watching Ariana play her final game in a Teurlings’ uniform.

“It’s been hard all day,” Terry said fighting back tears. “I’ve coached her since she was six. I was holding it in the whole time. She’s been special for Meredith and I. We’re going to miss her.”

Junior Tyler Acorn led the team in blocks, sophomore Cicily Hidalgo recorded 11 kills, and sophomore Paige Guidry led the way in aces. It’s a sure sign that Teurlings has plenty of young talent awaiting 2019.
