Former LSUE coach Michael Bari dies

Former LSUE women's basketball coach, Michael Bari died Thursday from complications related to the coronavirus.

Bari coached the Tigers for a decade, winning more than 150 games. He spent the final years of his coaching career as several division II schools in West Virginia. He retired from Salem International University in Salem, WV after the 2017 season and returned to Louisiana where he hosted the Michael Bari Show, which aired on KEUN radio in Eunice. He also called football games for St. Edmund High School.

Born on January 20, 1962, Bari was 58 years old. According to a release, there will be no memorial service due to the pandemic.
