On Sunday, November 10, Progressive Baptist Church will hold their annual Veterans Day ceremony.
The event begins at 10:00 am at the church is located at 2001 E. Simcoe Street in Lafayette.
All veterans, their families, and community members are invited to attend.
JROTC members from local high schools will also be on hand to commemorate the day.
More than 20 Veterans will also receive the Louisiana Honor Medal along with a signed letter from Governor Edwards at the event.
The medal is being awarded to Veterans for their honorable service to the country.
