Volunteers are needed to help hundreds of homeowners across Acadiana who faced devastation as a result of Hurricane Delta.

United Way is asking the community to consider joining their volunteer efforts on Saturdays in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, AmeriCorps NCCC, and other organizations as they work to tarp roofs of damaged homes and remove large debris.

Whether highly skilled or willing to learn, your assistance is needed.

Please make note in the Need Response what skills you posses (tarping, chainsaw experience, etc.). Materials and tools are provided to complete the various projects, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own tools.

Upon choosing to volunteer with United Way, volunteers are contacted via email or phone before Saturday to gather details about their skill level and comfort completing certain tasks.

Closed-toe shoes are required and comfortable yet functional clothing is suggested as well as bringing one's own water.
