Studies show many people who already fought off COVID-19 never had symptoms, and the proof is in the antibodies found in their blood.
Fighting a significant blood shortage since the pandemic began, Vitalent is offering COVID-19 antibody tests in exchange for a blood donation.
"Every donor has access to a personal and confidential online profile that has a lot of health screening results. Their cholesterol, temperature and blood pressure and added to those results will be your antibody test, and it will let you know if you are positive or negative for the COVID-19 antibody," explained Mitzi Breaux, Marketing Director for Vitalent.
To donate, visit their location on Bertrand Drive in Lafayette. You can call ahead to save a spot for yourself. You'll be asked to wear a mask or face covering inside the building.
Those who donate can expect a two week return on antibody test results.
