Port Barre hands out food boxes at mobile pantry

On Thursday, resident in Port Barre that needed food assistance were able to stop by the police department and collect a food box.

The food boxes were handed out with help from Second Harvest Food Bank and the Port Barre Police Department. Food boxes will be given out until the supply runs out. The distribution began at 1:00 pm.

Drivers were asked to drive up to the pickup location at the Port Barre Police station and not exit their vehicles. Boxes would be placed inside cars.
