COVID-19 testing will be available in Lafayette to students before they head back to school.

The Lafayette Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc is partnering with Southwest Louisiana Healthcare Center for a free Back to School COVID-19 Testing site on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

The organization says that school students are the focus (Kindergarten through grade 12) but all are welcome to attend.

Tests, which will be administered at the MLK Center on Cora Street in Lafayette, will be free. The site will be open from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Those wishing to be tested can pre-register by calling 337-678-9000.

A picture ID, Insurance Information and two contact numbers will need to be provided. An adult must accompany school-aged children.
