A group of volunteers is on the look-out to give masks and hand sanitizer to people in need.

Today in Lafayette, the crew stopped by St. Joseph's Diner.

They said it's important right now for us to pool our resources to pitch in and help people out.

"We're always thinking how we can help people," said James Parker, a veteran and volunteer. "We do a lot of community service every day. We think, what else can we do to help someone? So I made the sanitizer myself, and we found some masks. We're going to give them out until we run out."
