Asociación Cultural Latino-Acadiana (ACLA) on Saturday distributed food to those in need in the local community.
The group donated $1,000 to feed up to 50 area families today.
Food was available starting at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, located at 1454 Henderson Hwy. in Henderson.
ACLA is a non-profit organization founded to connect Acadiana citizens to Latino culture.
ACLA Chairman Luis Mora said this was a chance to show gratitude and share positivity during this difficult time.
"Spread your blessings, if you haven't spread them out. It's tough times, and it's a great opportunity to give thanks for all the blessings we have and to share it with our fellow man," explained Mora.
