Southern Stone Indoor Climbing is once again open to the public.

As part of Phase 2 of the governor's plans the business reopened with limited capacity. In Phase 1 only members were given access to the building.

The rock climbing facility says that early on in the lock down and quarantine, their members stepped up to pay dues and keep the business open. They also received donations to help pay for utilities and other bills.

Currently under phase 2, Southern Stone is operating at 50 percent capacity and allows about 30 people at a time inside.

Owners say that masks are strongly encouraged and necessary if you are learning how to operate the ropes for the first time.

"If you don't have one, you can buy one at the desk or we can provide you with one," said owner Jonathon Matt.

Crews are also working to sanitize and and wipe down all shared services every other hour.

Southern Stone is located at 109 Grand Ave. in Lafayette.
