A new business in Downtown Lafayette is celebrating their grand opening this weekend and is able to say "We're Open."
Handy Stop Market and Café celebrated the grand opening Friday with a ribbon cutting with One Acadiana.
The market provides customers with fresh produce, meat, dairy, meals, and more.
Saturday, Handy Stop will hold another ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. With the Downtown Lafayette ArtWalk Kickoff.
The store officially opened in May as a place for residents to shop for essentials. Now that the state has moved into Phase Two, Handy Stop was able to invite the Downtown Lafayette community to celebrate with them.
"Now they have their own grocery store located in their neighborhood that's providing healthier options and a lot of locally sourced items," explained owner Bradley Cruize. "It's really a lot of business to business and all the money is staying here in Acadiana."
Handy Stop is located at 444 Jefferson Street.
