Two businesses in Lafayette celebrated their grand openings on Saturday and are able to say, "We're Open."
Lafayette Dazzlers Dance Company and A New Medical Level LLC held ribbon cuttings Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at their new locations at 1512 Ambassador Caffery.
The two businesses are located right next to one another and are both owned by Crystal Smith-Provost. Smith-Provost said she and the two businesses are ready to start the new year with a new challenge.
In Suite 4, A New Medical Level LLC staffs workers for home health agencies who will assist those clients with everyday living.
Next door in Suite 5, Lafayette Dazzlers Dance Company is a non-profit organization that is open to girls in Acadiana ages 5-20. The company's motto is "No girls left behind," and it focuses on teaching different styles of dance to every girl who wants to learn. Students travel to various cities and states nationwide, and have won Grand Champion awards in cities such as New York City and Orlando, Florida.
"Everything we are doing is for [the girls]," Smith-Provost said of the dance students. "All these girls are traveling the world and they need this opportunity, they need the support of their community. A lot of our kids come from single parent homes, minority kids, so they need to be out there."
