Warm Thursday, but cooling for the weekend

The temperatures Thursday afternoon will start to trend up with highs pushing into the mid 80s, but just as those temperatures head up another front is expected to move across Acadiana.

This front isn't going to arrive with the usual bluster since there's not enough moisture to fuel any showers, or even many clouds, but it will still be able to bring in some cooler air for the end of the work week.

It'll be another sunny day on Friday and temperatures will be back down in the upper 70s as we get into the rest of the weekend temperatures will look similar, and yet a third front will keep those temperatures subdued headed into next week.

That third front will be an important one with tropical moisture in the southern Gulf of Mexico the placement of these fronts will be the difference between cool, dry weather or a return of some showers for next week.

It's a little too early to tell which scenario will pan out but there's one line of thinking that the front will force the moisture into the southern Gulf, for us this would be a drier and cooler forecast for next week.

On the other hand the front may absorb the moisture and bring it up along the central Gulf Coast, this could result in some coastal showers and a warmer week next week.

As mentioned though it's too early to tell which of these scenarios will play out but we'll start to get a better idea as we go through the weekend.
