The Village of Maurice held a special meeting Wednesday night to discuss the village's budget for the next fiscal year.
A budget was formulated at the meeting, according to Mayor Wayne Theriot, and an ordinance was introduced for a public hearing.
The hearing will be held at the village's June meeting, along with a vote and adoption of the budget.
The only item on the agenda is the budget for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.
The meeting was open to the public but attendance was limited due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Attendees were required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
