Vermilion Parish has opted-in to reopen bars.
The Vermilion Parish Police Jury announced the plan as the parish has maintained a new case count bleow 5 percent positivity for the past two weeks. Those rates can be found on the Louisiana Department of Health website.
Police Jury President Dane Hebert sent the plans for opting in to the Commissioner of the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control.
All parishes in Acadiana have now opted-in to reopen bars.
