Vermilion Parish will hold a school board meeting at 6 p.m. tonight.
This will be the first meeting that will happen with Tommy Byler as parish superintendent.
Byler is the former principal of North Vermilion High School.
Last week, Byler was unanimously elected to the position during a special meeting.
Before Byler's selection, the superintendent position was vacant since January when Jerome Puyau stepped down.
