A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Abbeville on Sunday.
Police say on June 7, 2020 officers with the Abbeville Police Department received a call of shots fired within the city limits of Abbeville. Police say they are not releasing the location of the shooting due to the ongoing investigation.
After officers arrival, they say they located a man suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Officers say that based on the investigation, an arrest warrant for a 15-year-old male was obtained for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder. That suspect was located and arrested on June 9, and transported to a juvenile detention center. Their identity is not being released.
Abbeville Police say the case is still under investigation and more arrests are expected.
