Brad Prudhomme has been named interim superintendent for Vermilion Parish Schools.
At a meeting Monday night, the board selected Prudhomme to take over the position of superintendent. Prudhomme previously worked for the school board as the Supervisor of Child Welfare & Attendance.
Puyau resigned from the position in December and will be transferred to the position of Consultant of the Superintendent until September.
