The Village of Maurice is handling the office functions differently because of COVID-19.

The lobby is closed until further notice.

The Village is asking that citizens use the drop box for utility payments, traffic citations and other correspondence.

Other options for payment of traffic citations only, are the online service at www.mauricepayments.com or by calling 877-793-7141.

At this time, the Village has suspended all new building permits.

For electrical and utility services, please call the office for instructions.

You may contact the Village by phone during regular business hours with any issues, questions or concerns. The office will be available to answer any questions or assist you over the phone during regular business hours by calling #337-893-6406

Adhering to the Governor’s “Stay at Home” orders, the Maurice Park is closed for all activity. It is unfortunate that due to the design, this includes the walking trail which goes through the playground areas. You are encouraged to utilize other areas of the Village to safely walk about.

You are encouraged to support our local business that are allowed to open. They need your support during these times.

Please adhere to the “Stay at Home” orders and take the listed precautions to help prevent the spread of this virus. Your cooperation in obeying the issued curfew is appreciated.

"Please take a moment to pray for those who are responding to this crisis," Mayor Wayne Theriot writes.
