Maurice city hall will be opening for business on next week.
In a release, Mayor Wayne Theriot says that the lobby at city hall will be opened for business beginning Monday May 18, 2020. Anyone entering will be required to wear a mask and access will be limited to two individuals at a time.
"We ask your cooperation in order to protect our citizens," Theriot said. "If we all do our part in this we can return to somewhat of a normal that we enjoyed prior to this health crisis."
The village hopes that local businesses can soon return to their normal operations.
"This crisis has been hard on each of them so please support them for your needs. Local businesses are the backbone of a community," Theriot added.
