A disaster response non-profit organization is in Vermilion Parish this weekend helping out after Hurricanes Delta and Laura.
Marco Patriots will be at the Pecan Island Fire Department with hot food, cold drinks, and supplies for area residents. The group will be at the department Saturday and Sunday, serving lunch from 11-1 and dinner from 4-6 both days.
Next week, volunteers will be at Castaway's Island Bar in Lake Charles distributing food and supplies. Lunch will be served from 11-1 and dinner from 4-6 at that location as well.
The group has been in the area assisting residents after the recent hurricanes. The fire department is located at 28702 W. LA Hwy. 82 in Kaplan.
