According to the Advocate, Vermilion Catholic head coach Kevin Fouquier has resigned.
Fouquier took over the head coaching position at the school in January 2018.
Under his guidance, Vermilion Catholic earned 21-4 record in two seasons and a district title this year.
Fouquier tells the newspaper that family was the main reason for his decision to leave the position.
"It's strictly for my family," Fouquier tells the Advocate. "It's an opportunity to go back with the company I was with before, American Pollution (AMPOL). It was strictly a family decision. It had nothing to do with VC."
Before taking over as head coach for Vermilion Catholic, Fouquier served as the team's defensive coordinator for five years.
