KAPLAN, La. - Residents who would like assistance locating their water cut off valve have until 4:00 pm Friday.
"We have very cold weather coming and we want you to prepare for it as soon as possible," Mayor Mike Kloesel posted on Facebook. "If you do not know where your personal water cut off valve is for your residence and you want to find it, call city hall before 4:00 and we will get someone to come help you locate it and show you how to turn it off should you need to, due to freezing weather."
City Hall will be closed Monday (President's Day) and Tuesday (Mardi Gras) next week as legal holidays.
No one will be available for this service on the weekend or holidays or once the weather becomes freezing, Mayor Kloesel added.
