A Kaplan man is dead following a single vehicle crash on La Hwy 35 near Lull Road in Vermilion Parish on Thursday.
Louisiana State Police say that at around 12:30 pm on July 18, 2019, Troopers began investigating the crash involving a motorcycle. The crash took the life of 50-year-old Kendall Meyers of Kaplan.
An investigation revealed that the crash occurred as Meyers was riding his motorcycle southbound on LA Hwy 35. Troopers say that as Meyers entered a left hand curve, his motorcycle ran off the roadway to the right for unknown reasons. Meyers was then ejected from the motorcycle.
Meyers received fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was wearing a DOT approved safety helmet. State Police say that impairment is unknown at this time.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
