Businesses in Kaplan have agreed to follow guidelines put forth by Governor John Bel Edwards to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Kaplan’s Mayor Mike Kloesel says that essential businesses have agreed to voluntarily follow the guidelines by making changes to operations.
Kloesel says he has personally met with each of the businesses that remain open and all have instituted a plan of action to follow the social distancing guidelines as well as limiting the number of people inside each establishment at one time.
The Kaplan Police Department will be enforcing a 9:00 PM – 5 :00AM curfew for all residents, adults and minors.
