Friends and family on Wednesday paid tribute to Aaron Wallace, the victim of a shooting in Abbeville last week.

Wallace was killed last Tuesday, June 2, on East Oak Street. That case is still under investigation.

Wallace's family says he loved to joke around and was always there for those who needed him.

His brother, Jonathan Greene, hopes to spread a message of peace and encourages others to stop acts of violence.

"Please put the guns down," Greene said. "Nothing happy about this, especially with everything else going on in the world on a day to day basis. 20 years old. I love you, we love you. We're going to miss you."
