DELCAMBRE, La. — The Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested a Delcambre man on Friday for cruelty to animals.

According to VPSO, Edrick LeBlanc, 67, of Delcambre was arrested on a felony charge of cruelty to animals.

Vermilion Today reports that LeBlanc was arrested for allegedly killing Wrigley, a three-year-old Goldendoodle. Wrigley’s body was found floating in a drainage ditch at the end of Country Drive Road, next to Landry Park in Delcambre. There was a gun shot to his head. The dog belonged to the Broussard family of Delcambre. It went missing last Thursday when Hollie Broussard let it out of the house so it could do its business. It never returned home.

LeBlanc was arrested this morning and booked into the Vermilion Parish Jail on a $1,200 bond. Records show that LeBlanc is no longer in jail.
