The residents of Cow Island are still in disbelief over the 100 gallons of holy water they witnessed over the weekend. St. Anne Catholic parishioner LeRyn Detraz says the idea came to her in prayer and she knew she had to share the idea.

"I was in Ohio and I actually had gone into prayer, praying for my community back her in Louisiana," said Detraz. "My heart was just breaking for our community because there's so much work to be done here."

According to a Facebook post on the Diocese of Lafayette page, Fr. Matthew Barzare and parishioners of St. Anne Church in Cow Island enlisted the help of a cropduster pilot to spray 100 gallons of holy water onto the town and surrounding farms.
