A vigil is planned this week for the victim in an Abbeville homicide.
Family and Friends of 20-year-old Aaron Wallace will gather on East Oak Street in Abbeville on Wednesday to honor his memory. Last week, Wallace was killed on East Oak Street by an unknown person.
Abbeville Police have not released details on the fatal shooting. The homicide is still under investigation.
Wallace's mother told KATC that her son loved to joke around, but was always there for those who needed him.
"He was always there. He was a sweetheart."
The vigil is set for Wednesday June 10, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. on East Oak Street.
