Abbeville High goes to distance learning tomorrow and Tuesday

Abbeville High School will go to distance learning tomorrow and Tuesday, Superintendent Tommy Byler tells KATC.

There are too many people in quarantine right now for school to resume a hybrid schedule, as the rest of the district is doing, he said.

Tomorrow and Tuesday, no students will report to school at Abbeville High. All teachers and administrators who are not in quarantine are to report to school, Byler said. Students will access distance learning via Google Classroom, he said.

School and district staff will meet tomorrow to make decisions about long-term plans, Byler said.
