BROUSSARD, La. — The Broussard Police Department says they need the public's assistance in locating two women accused of stealing a sewing machine from a local business.

Police shared a Facebook Post from A&A sewing Center in Broussard. In that post, two women can be seen walking though the sewing center and hurriedly leaving with a sewing machine in hand. After noticing the pair leave, a worker chases after the two as they drive away.

A&A Sewing Center says the theft happened on June 16 at around 4:40 pm. The two women in the video left the business with a Janome sewing machine valued at $1199.

They were driving an older red car with Texas plates.

If you have any information on them or their whereabouts, please call Broussard Police. A&A says they have the machine's serial number and will be able to ID the machine if it is located.
