Three arrested in connection with Lafayette drive-by shooting

Three people have been arrested for their involvement in a Thursday shooting in Lafayette.

Police say officers responded on February 11, 2021, to the 1000 block of E Vermilion Street at around 5:00 pm in reference to a shots fired call. They say that the shots were fired during a drive by shooting.

As a result of the shooting, a residence received damage from multiple bullets. There were several adults and children inside the home at the time.

No on was injured.

Police say a traffic stop was made on a suspected vehicle in the shooting. As a result, three people were arrested, including a juvenile.

19-year-old Tyrease Robertson and 18-year-old Jamyrick Woods were taken into custody in connection with the shooting. The juvenile was also arrested.

Lafayette Police say two firearms were located inside the vehicle.
