The Donut Shop in Morgan City, says they will stay open as long as they can.
Somer Higgs has been working here for 13 years, and says they stay open for every hurricane.
“Because everything else decides to shuts down and people still need to eat. So, we just stay open and we’re usually pretty busy. We’ve actually been busy all day,” Higgs said.
KATC checked in with them around 11 a.m. Friday and they were open.
