The work week is starting to wrap up and with this week's active weather behind us we can start to turn an eye toward the weekend and what we can expect weather wise.
Friday is going to be a fairly standard day with some clouds with us early on in the morning but slowly clearing as we get further into the afternoon.
A chilly start, lows down in the mid 40s, will give way to highs in the upper 60s by the end of the day and set the stage for what is going to be a very warm weekend.
Saturday and Sunday will both be warm for mid December with highs sitting in the 70s and lows getting down into the low 50s.
The next big weather event swings through on Monday in the form of a front that is expected to bring heavy showers to the area along with the possibility of some strong thunderstorms.
It's a little too early to tell if it will produce any severe weather but it certainly can't be ruled out as the temperatures will warm and muggy before the front moves across the state.
This will bring about a major drop in temperatures with our next chance of freezing conditions arriving during the mid-week.
