The first half of the week, and the first week of the fall, is off to a very quiet start with plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures, as they tend to do in this part of the country, will take a little longer to cool down even with an influx of dry air.

Highs in the afternoon will linger in the lower 90s for the next couple of days, and enough humidity to push the heat index into the mid 90s.

This comes with mostly sunny skies across the area, and even the pop up showers will be harder to find until the weekend.

Thursday morning maybe set the alarm a little early to take advantage of some cooler temperatures in the morning, after what will end up being a fairly hot week.
