The weather pattern has gotten very quiet here in Acadiana, and in mid July, that means temperatures are the main order of business.
A Heat Advisory will be in effect for all of Acadiana from noon on Friday until 7 in the evening.
As the sun shines temperatures will heat up and the heat index will push well into the triple digits by lunchtime, and in the hottest part of the day the heat index will push 104-106.
Saturday is shaping up to be even hotter and the temperatures will sit in the upper 90s, and the heat index will push close to around 108 late in the afternoon.
This pattern won't break anytime soon with hot, sunny conditions lasting all the way through into late next week.
