A foggy, misty start to the day on Wednesday has prompted a Dense Fog Advisory until about sunrise for central Acadiana with visibility dropping down to about a quarter mile at times, with misty conditions to go along with it.

Despite several cloudy days we should finally be getting some sunshine by the afternoon, this arriving as winds pick up across the area blowing in much cooler and drier air behind Tuesday's front.

Temperatures Wednesday afternoon will stay mostly in the 60s through the afternoon and with clear skies overnight Acadiana will see the lows drop into the upper 30s by Thursday morning.

Once the sun comes out on Wednesday it will stick around for the next several days lasting through the rest of the week and the start of the weekend, even if temperatures are expected to be much lower.

The next chance for showers will be Saturday night with a front moving through overnight, timing the showers looks like it will be more of an overnight event lasting into early Sunday morning.
