Sunshine emerges for the end of the week

Posted
and last updated

The clouds struggled to clear on Wednesday and plenty of them are still holding on early Thursday morning, the good news though is that sunshine is right around the corner.

Skies have been clearing to the west and clouds eventually will be clearing through the morning leaving plenty of sunshine for a majority of the day.

Sunshine is going to help push the temperatures into the low 50s in the afternoon and as winds stay breezy the wind chill is going to remain in the upper 40s.

As the day goes on the winds will start to relax a little and getting calm overnight which will allow the temperatures to drop to the freezing mark for most of Acadiana, and frost will be sticking with us Friday morning.

Friday will be another cool, sunny day but the clouds won't be far behind as they return to the forecast on Saturday ahead of our next front which will provide showers and storms for the weekend.
